Jack Kirby Interview (YouTube)

I drew this picture when I was a teenager using a similar style and markings that Jack Kirby had created.

As a young boy growing up in Brooklyn, New York I was drawn to the graphical style of this amazing artist, "Jack Kirby."

Jack Kirby along with Stan Lee created some of the most memorable superheroes in the Marvel Universe. They created Captain America, the Fantastic Four, the Avengers, the X-Men, and the Hulk, just to name a few.

Jack decided to go solo and eventually left Marvel for DC Comics and created The New Gods, Forever People and my personal favorite... Mister Miracle.

His uncanny style and creativity had me heading to the comic book stand waiting for the next comic book listing him as the lead artist. Not only was Jack a great artist but an excellent writer a visionary well before his time.

This is my small way of showing tribute to an outstanding American and true creative hero.
